The "Summer House of the Stars" 2023 is in the starting blocks. When will the eighth season of the reality TV show be on RTL?

Bocholt - It's that time again: Eight celebrity couples move into the RTL "Summer House of the Stars". They are fighting for the prize money of 50,000 euros and want to win the title of "The Celebrity Couple 2023". If you don't want to miss an episode, you should make a note of these dates in your calendar: On September 19, the popular reality TV format will go on air for the first time on RTL (every Tuesday at 20:15 p.m.). A total of twelve episodes are planned. A week earlier, the first episode is already available on the streaming service RTL+ (September 12, from 20:15 p.m.).

"The Summer House of the Stars": Two episodes in one week

From calendar week 44, i.e. in the week starting on 30 October, TV viewers can look forward to double the fun from the celebrity flat-share. Then the show will run on both Tuesdays and Wednesdays at 20:15 p.m. (31.10., 1.11., 7.11., 8.11., 14.11. and 15.11.). The final will therefore be shown on RTL on 15 November. On RTL+, the Wednesday episodes are always available one day in advance from calendar week 44 and the Tuesday episodes six days in advance from calendar week 45.

The show "The Summer House of the Stars – Battle of the Celebrity Couples" celebrated its premiere on RTL in 2016. Initially, filming took place in Portugal, but from season five onwards, production was moved to Bocholt, North Rhine-Westphalia. In this format, more or less well-known celebrity couples move into a common house, have to master everyday life under the observation of the cameras and compete against the other couples in challenges. Living in a confined space for up to three weeks has always caused a lot of potential for conflict, both among competitors and among couples. And the mutual nominations, which decide which couple has to leave the house, have also repeatedly given rise to disputes.

"The Summer House of the Stars" 2023: These are the couples

In 2023, on the one hand, candidates who have already gained reality TV experience will move into the "summer house". These include Maurice Dziwak (25) and Ricarda "Ricky" Raatz (31), known from "Are You The One – Realitystars in Love", or Aleksandar "Aleks" Petrovic (32) and Vanessa Nwattu (23), who met at "Temptation Island VIP". Entrepreneur Claudia Obert (61), who has already sniffed reality air in formats such as "Celebrity Big Brother" or "Battle of the Reality Stars", is moving in with partner Max Suhr (25). And Valentina Doronina (23), known from "Celebrity Big Brother" or "Ex on the Beach", also wants to win the title with her fiancé Can Kaplan (27).

On the other hand, these celebrities also want to prove themselves: the ex-"Cologne 50667" stars Pia Tillmann (37) and Zico Banach (32), the actor couple Eric (34) and Edith Stehfest (28), party hit singer Tim Toupet (51) and Carina Crone (33) as well as jungle king ex-wife Justine Dippl (35) and Arben Zekic (28). Even before the start of the season, a "Summer House of the Stars" scandal is causing quite a stir. Sources used: Instagram.com, RTL.de
