(ANSA) - ROME, SEP 12 - Pope Francis on Tuesday renewed hisprayer for peace in Ukraine as his envoy, Cardinal Matteo Zuppi,prepared to depart for China on a new leg of his peace-seekingmission.
"Let us continue to pray for peace without tiring, to knock,with a humble and insistent spirit, at the always open door ofGod's heart and at the doors of men," said the pope in a messageread by the Apostolic Nuncio in Germany, Monsignor NikolaEterovic, during the closing ceremony of the InternationalPrayer Meeting for Peace promoted by the Community ofSant'Egidio in Berlin.
"We ask that ways of peace be opened, especially for the dearand tormented Ukraine," continued Francis. (ANSA).
