Poll: Most Palestinian public supports canceling the Oslo Accords | Israel Hayom

Highlights: A Palestinian survey conducted on the 64th anniversary of the signing of the Oslo Accords shows that a majority of the public does not believe in the agreements and thinks they caused damage. 71% of Palestinians believe that the PLO made a mistake when it signed the agreements. The survey was conducted by the Palestinian Center for Policy Research, directed by Dr. Khalil Shikaki, and was conducted face-to-face with 1,270 residents who were randomly questioned in various locations in the West Bank and Gaza.

The survey also found that 71% of Palestinians believe that the PLO made a mistake when it signed the agreements. In addition, 63% of the public wants the Palestinian Authority to abandon the agreements.

The survey was conducted by the Palestinian Center for Policy Research, directed by Dr. Khalil Shikaki, and was conducted face-to-face with 1,270 residents who were randomly questioned in various locations in the West Bank and Gaza.

Respondents were also asked about the possibility of establishing normalization relations between Israel and Saudi Arabia and how these would affect the chances of achieving Israeli-Palestinian peace. 56% responded that normalization would damage the chances for peace. Only 17% said normalization could help the possibility of peace between Israel and the Palestinians. According to the survey, 72% of Palestinians oppose the Palestinian leadership negotiating with Saudi Arabia or the United States on Palestinian conditions for agreeing on these normalization relations.
