Bnei Brak police detained three suspects suspected of stealing a vehicle from Bnei Brak with a computer for driving vehicles.
The police received a report of three suspects attempting to start a vehicle on Shlomo Ben Yosef Street in Bnei Brak on Friday morning. Bnei Brak police immediately began searching the area, during which they located two suspects who had escaped, hiding inside a building on Bar Kochba Street in Bnei Brak. Meanwhile, during the search, the officers located and seized a computer for moving vehicles, black gloves, a black folding knife and a vehicle sign.

Later, a report was received that the stolen vehicle had carried out a hit-and-run accident at the Nachshonim junction. Police officers from the Rosh HaAyin police station began searching during which the suspect was apprehended at the Rantis checkpoint.
The officers arrested the suspect, 21, from Nablus, for stealing a vehicle, driving without obtaining a driver's license, intentionally sabotaging a vehicle and entering Israel illegally. In addition, police officers from the Bnei Brak municipal police unit detained the other two suspects (24 from Ni'lin and 21 from 'Anin). The three suspects were taken for interrogation at the Bnei Brak police station, at the end of which they were brought to the Tel Aviv Magistrate's Court for a hearing and their detention was extended for five days. The investigation is ongoing.
