With the help of a helicopter and a trained crew: the record for the longest stretchy cheese in the world is broken | Israel Hayom

Highlights: A new record has been set for the highest amount of cheese ever stretched. The record was set by a team of four people who stretched a piece of cheese to a height of 2.5 meters. The challenge was to stretch the cheese as much as possible before it was consumed. The team used a mixture of cheddar and mozzarella to achieve the goal. The result was a record for the longest stretch of cheese in the history of the world. It took the team more than two hours to complete the challenge.

To try and set the record, a team of trained pilots circled in a company-branded helicopter over the giant mountain of nachos, lifting and stretching the snack dipped in bubbling cheese.

Please note, this is completely a hoax and even one that broke a record - in recent days a yellow cheese stretch record was broken by the American company Doritos.

As much as it sounds like a reality show assignment or something you'll only do if you're completely bored or if you've lost a bet, "cheese pulling" has become a kind of completely real trend and even very popular online. A slew of videos, in which TikTokers show how stretched their cheese is, have so far more than 1.5 billion views and their purpose is one: to stretch the bubbling cheese in pizza, toast or any other dish that contains as much of the raw material as possible before it is torn.

This past weekend, just in time for the International Guacamole Day celebrations (yes, that's a completely real thing too), the popular Doritos brand decided to try to break a record for "cheese stretching" in order to prove, among other things, that a new snack called Doritos Dippers that the company is launching is more durable and crispy than its predecessors and other snacks on the market.

To make the dream come true, the company created a mountain of nachos nearly five meters wide and four meters high in Cheddar Canyon (yes, just like the name of the famous cheese) in Somerset County in the UK.

To try and set the record, a team of trained pilots circled in a company-branded helicopter over the giant mountain of nachos, lifting and stretching the snack dipped in bubbling cheese. The cheese was made from a mixture of about 120 kg of cheddar cheese and mozzarella. The team managed to lift the stretched cheese to a height of about 15 meters above the ground, setting a new record for stretching cheese to a height.

Preparations for the challenge, led from the ground by a web star named Sam Thompson, took over a month. They included scientists and food experts, who researched the subject and sat for long hours to engineer the extraordinary culinary record.
