After the conference, MK Sun Har-Melech said: "Yes, I believe that Amiram Ben Uliel is innocent and that his confession was extracted under torture that no one would have withstanded. And if you want proof of persecution, look at the insistence on keeping him in solitary confinement for eight years, an unprecedented sanction. Zadorov's innocence was also questioned, and here he was acquitted after 17 years. I just hope that with Amiram it will take less."

Amiram Ben Uliel was convicted of murdering three members of the Dawabsheh family in Douma. He has been imprisoned since the beginning of his interrogation, sentenced to three life sentences and an additional 20 years in prison. For most of his imprisonment, Ben Uliel was held in solitary confinement and his appeal to the Supreme Court after the conviction was rejected.
