Just two days before the anniversary of the attack in which Ari Fuld was murdered at the Gush Etzion junction, his family received a ringing slap in the face from the Palestinian Authority, doubling the salary of terrorist Khalil Jabarin.

Terrorists receive a salary according to a pay scale, which has grown over the years. Thus, for the first three years, a terrorist receives 1,400 shekels a month from the Palestinian Authority, for the next two years 2,000 shekels a month, and when the fifth year of imprisonment arrives, the salary rises to 4,000 shekels a month.
Attorney Morris Hirsch, who represents quite a few families of terrorists, tweeted angrily: "The Palestinian Authority doubled the monthly salary of the terrorist who murdered Ari Fuld, from $522 to $1,044. This is the policy of the Palestinian Authority – it encourages terrorism and rewards terrorists."
"Indescribable shame"
The Fuld family is furious. "This is an indescribably painful shame, this is not a personal or family insult, it is an insult to the citizens of Israel, it is an insult to human morality," the family told Israel Hayom. "Five years since the murder, and the PA encourages terrorism and doubles the salary of the despicable terrorist. Anyone with a minimum level of morality must despise these acts and contempt for an authority that embraces and strengthens Arab terror. The light and darkness could not have been clearer, the State of Israel loves peace with all its neighbors and a Palestinian Authority that supports and encourages the murder of Jews, and that's the whole story."
In September 2018, just a week after Rosh Hashanah, the terrorist, then 16, arrived at the Gush Etzion junction shopping complex. He pounced on Ari Fuld and stabbed him in the back. Fuld came to his senses, fired at him and collapsed. He was evacuated to Shaare Zedek Hospital in Jerusalem, where doctors were forced to pronounce him dead. In 2020, Jabarin was sentenced to life imprisonment.

Attorney Morris Hirsch said: "While it is not surprising to see that the PA continues to pay large financial rewards to terrorists, including murderous terrorists, what really hurts is that the Israeli government cooperates with it and does nothing to eliminate the despicable policy. Thus, out of every 100 shekels the PA pays terrorists, the Israeli government contributes 60 shekels.
He added: "The Palestinian organizations responsible for implementing PA policy are not declared terrorist organizations and operate without interference. It's time for a change of policy on the part of the Israeli government, and one hour sooner."
