Palestinian commentator Ibrahim Habib explained in an interview to Hamas TV that "the marches pose a problem for Israel and emphasize the unity of the arenas. The young people are sending a message that they stand with their brothers in the West Bank and will not leave the prisoners alone."
Meanwhile, in the Rafah area, an event was held to inaugurate a monument marking "Resistance Day," marking 18 years since Israel's withdrawal from the Gaza Strip. During the event, representatives of the factions said that "from day one we said that the liberation of Gaza from the occupation is only the beginning, and the resistance translated this slogan into reality. The sword will not be restored until all our lands, holy places and prisoners are liberated."

The Egyptian Foreign Ministry issued a statement condemning "the escalation of Israeli forces in the occupied Palestinian territories, the most recent of which took place in the city of Jenin and led to the deaths of six Palestinians and the injury of others."
