Hamas on Wednesday referred to two of the terrorists killed yesterday in an IDF operation in the Jenin refugee camp as operatives of its military wing.
A statement issued by the armed wing of the terrorist organization, Azzadine al-Qassem, said that Mahmoud al-Saadi and Mahmoud al-'Arrawi were killed during an armed confrontation alongside their comrades from various terror cells against IDF forces in the refugee camp. "It will not be possible to break the Jenin refugee camp," the statement said. It was also noted that the terrorists discovered the special force that had infiltrated the camp and rained heavy fire on it, and detonated IEDs.

Meanwhile, Hamas sources told the Lebanese newspaper Al-Akhbar that Israel believes it can blackmail the terrorist organization in Gaza or buy quiet with money and grants. In this context, the sources stressed that Hamas was "firm in its strategic goals, including support for the resistance in the West Bank, which will continue."
The sources also revealed that Hamas conveyed messages through mediators about the situation in the Gaza Strip and warned of "a major popular escalation, in light of Israel's attempts to damage the Al-Aqsa Mosque and the steps to intensify the siege on Gaza."
