Former Prime Minister and Opposition Leader Yair Lapid spoke at the start of a meeting of the Yesh Atid faction on Wednesday and attacked the government: "To act contrary to the position of the Shin Bet and the IPS regarding security prisoners is not full-right, but full-fledged lawlessness. It's an approach that prioritizes more videos and studio invitations over prudent policies that protect lives," he said.
"The prime minister has lost control of his ministers. Each of them pursues its own dangerous policy. Calling on Israeli citizens to come with weapons to synagogue on Yom Kippur is not a security policy, it's dangerous populism," he continued.
