The list of the 50 best hotels in the world was revealed yesterday (Tuesday) at the 50 Best hotel event in London, and unfortunately – there is not a single hotel in Israel on the honorable list.
However, an Israeli representative office (as well as several hotels that sell quite a bit to Israeli tourists) can be found in the 49th place, where Six Senses in Ibiza stands, a hotel owned by Yoyo Leitersdorf, an Israeli businessman living in Tel Aviv.

Dubai's famous Atlantis The Royal, which launched earlier this year with a Beyoncé concert, also made the list, ranking 44th. A hotel full of Israeli tourists during the summer period that reached number 35 is the Four Seasons Astir Palace Hotel in Athens.
Three other hotels frequented by quite a few Israelis who made the list are Aman in New York (25), Four Seasons in Madrid (24) and Royal Mansour in Marrakech (23).

According to the ranking, these are the 10 best hotels in the world: in 10th place is the Mandarin Oriental Hotel in Bangkok, in 9th place – Four Seasons in Florence, in 8th place – One and Onli Mandarin in Puerto Velterra, in 7th place "Fushi" in the Maldives (which is also known to quite a few Israelis), in 6th place is a hotel visited by masses of Israelis – "La Mamonia" in Marrakech, which is also familiar to many from the series "Inventing Anna".
In 5th place you will find the Aman Hotel in Tokyo, in the 4th place "The Afar House" in Hong Kong, in 3rd place the Four Seasons Hotel in Bangkok, in 2nd place the "Rosewood" Hotel in Hong Kong and in the first and most prestigious place - the "Pasquale" Hotel in Lake Como in Italy.
Roy Yerushalmi, journalist and representative of 50 Best in Israel, attended the event and said: "The new initiative of 'Best Best' enters a field that corresponds with its additional ratings – a groundbreaking move in the hotel industry, as the ranking of restaurants was 21 years ago. The strength of the ranking lies in the fact that it is completely independent and has been chosen by hundreds of tourism journalists and experts in the global hotel industry."
