Yaron Blum hosts Brigadier General (res.) Yuval Tzur, who was number 2 in the Navy. During his military service, he became a darling of the Germans when he received the highest German Medal of Honor. After his discharge, he served as Senior Deputy for Planning and Strategy. Today he sits down with Bloom for a conversation about submarines, the political situation, and also his personal experiences about life inside the submarine.

At the beginning of the conversation, Tzur explains about the development of submarines and the various types, "There are reasons of secrecy to say that the depth of the submarine's dive is over 250 meters." Beyond extensive and in-depth historical knowledge, the question that apparently occupies many of us arises: "Why doesn't Israel have nuclear-powered submarines?" Tzur quickly replies without confusion, "First of all, Israel cannot accept nuclear webs, Israel cannot accept a nuclear submarine because it is not a signatory to the nuclear treaty." At the same time, Tzur removes any concerns, "and there is in fact no need for such a submarine in terms of our missions – the required distances and the existing weapons for Israel's security needs."

In the interview, Tzur explains about the submarine's place in the security field, "the submarine has a significant warning dimension", goes on to talk about the internal politics between the political echelon and the IDF, and refers to Case 3000 and explains why it is impossible to maintain maritime security with fewer than six submarines, listen to the episode
