A 25-year-old man was killed today (Wednesday) as a result of a two-vehicle accident on Road 4311 towards Palmachim. MDA teams were forced to pronounce him dead after rescue operations. Another injured man, a 40-year-old truck driver, was in light condition and evacuated to Assaf Harofeh Hospital.

MDA emergency medics Itai Attias and Gedalia Rabinowitz said: "We saw a very serious car accident between a truck and a private vehicle with severe metal damage to the front. The driver of the vehicle, a 25-year-old man, was trapped unconscious, without a pulse and without breathing, with multi-system trauma. During the rescue operations, we performed medical tests, but his injury was critical and we had to pronounce him dead. The truck driver was walking at the scene and was evacuated by MDA ambulance in light condition."
