Bye, hello, thank you: After four months of high-profile yellow legal wrangling, Oscar-winning actor Kevin Costner and his separation from bag designer Christine Baumgartner have signed their divorce agreement.

Costner's legal team, 68, led by celebrity lawyer Laura Wasser, came out on top after the judge sided with his arguments mainly regarding alimony payments and enforcement of the prenuptial agreement Baumgartner sought to cancel, ruling that Costner pay his ex-wife $63,248 a month in alimony for their three children, after the latter demanded $<>,<> on the grounds that it was the amount needed for her to maintain the high standard of living to which their children were accustomed. "Kevin and Christine Costner have reached a joint and friendly agreement regarding the proceedings of their divorce trial," the couple said in a joint statement obtained by the Daily Mail.
It was also revealed that if Christine, 49, decides to appeal the court's decision and the content of the agreement, she will have to pay Costner more than $<> million and cover his attorneys' fees. According to people close to Christine, when she realized this was the case, she chose to sign the three-page agreement and end the saga.

"She really had no choice but to agree and compromise," her associates told the Daily Mail. "Kevin had all the power. Had she chosen to keep fighting, she would have risked losing everything. As far as she's concerned, that's what it is. She won't miss the court hearings and sleepless nights, saying that for the children it's a victory because no child wants to go through something like this, certainly not when everything is in the public eye.
