TV host Rita Goldstein is still recovering from the long and difficult birth she underwent only a week and a half ago when she gave birth to her first daughter. On Wednesday, she shared with her Instagram followers plans that went awry during childbirth, and also opened up about her mental and physical state during these days.

"How are you feeling physically and mentally?" one user asked Goldstein. "The question that probably came back the most, and rightly so," Rita noted. "Physically, after the birth, I felt like my body had a serious accident and it didn't get the time to recover from it because everything was insanely intense. Two weeks later, I'm still far from feeling like it's behind me."

From Goldstein's Instagram,

She said: "I'm in a lot of pain to say the least. But every day there may be some small improvement and a little more strength. At first, it was really hard for me to get out of bed. Now a little less complex, but takes time. Mentally, and everything written here is of course completely individual, the first week was very difficult for me. Full of uncontrollable crying, very difficult feelings. Fortunately, friends prepared me for this upheaval and were there for me to explain to me that I was hardly alone. It doesn't make it any easier, but it's very important to me that every woman who feels this way understands that she's really not alone in this, and there's nothing wrong with feeling this way. I hope this tough part is behind me."

Goldstein was also asked to talk about the challenging birth she experienced, which lasted four days. "Were you able to have a natural birth?" she was asked. "A completely natural birth. Right before a medical intervention I didn't want, Etty, the midwife who was with me at Sheba Natural Center, came out as a ninja and accompanied me to the end," she said. "Not everything worked before planning – especially not the fact that I arrived at the delivery room after long days of labor that exhausted me a lot. But in the end it was a natural birth, and of course everyone will go with what suits her."
