The IDF throws live and used ammunition near the Israeli-Jordanian border where animals roam. Live and used ammunition was found near an IDF base near the Jordanian-Israeli border, on the eastern coast of Eilat.
According to Einat Shtekler from Eilat, who documents animals in the desert, as soon as she found the ammunition, she reported it to the IDF several times, but the ammunition has not yet been removed and instead only additional ammunition waste has been added.

"There's a lot of wildlife in the area and I've already seen animals playing with the ammunition," Shtekler said. "I collected all the used, but I didn't dare touch the live ammunition. Someone needs to wake up and deal with the hazard."
The IDF has not yet received a response.
