Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu openly criticized the UN's positions on Israel in a meeting he held with UN Secretary-General Antonio Guterres during the UN General Assembly meeting in New York.
According to Netanyahu, who demanded that the UN secretary-general change the attitude of the organization's institutions towards the State of Israel, "It is inconceivable that while the entire world and the Middle East are undergoing tremendous changes for the better, only the UN has no change and persists in its hostile attitude towards Israel."
The prime minister added that "the time has come for the UN to condemn Iran's subversion," for which he said it was responsible for destabilizing the Middle East and the entire world. Netanyahu also said that the UN must "condemn Palestinian terrorism against innocent civilians and stop its baseless criticism of Israel."
