Prime Minister Netanyahu spoke at the United Nations General Assembly on Friday against the backdrop of normalization efforts with Saudi Arabia, while also referring to a possible peace process with the Palestinians but clarifying that "they must not be vetoed" on contacts with Arab countries.
Hamas spokesman Hazem Qassem strongly condemned the prime minister's speech. "Netanyahu demonstrated in his speech unprecedented bullying against the Palestinian people as a result of the normalization agreements signed or those that are being prepared," he said in his statement.

He added that "the occupation will continue to exploit normalization to escalate its aggression against our people in order to destroy Palestinian existence and try to implement the dreams of the Zionist right on the basis of normalization."
A Hamas spokesman also called on "forces in the nation to escalate their opposition to normalization with the Zionist entity and strengthen their calls to boycott it."
Meanwhile, incessant clashes continue on the Gaza Strip's border with Israel, and today there was an escalation when balloons launched caused fires throughout the envelope – the IDF during the period of attack in the Gaza Strip.
