Highlights: A secret WhatsApp group was opened to fight against the activity of a "Jewish head" in Tel Aviv. A stormy debate took place this week on the question of whether the demonstration against Rabbi Levinstein was legitimate. "There will be a response to any provocation, let's not create it and destroy everything we have achieved so far," wrote one participant. Some of the members of this group were behind the opposition to holding separate prayers in Dizengoff on Yom Kippur.

A secret WhatsApp group was opened to fight against the activity of a "Jewish head" in Tel Aviv • A stormy debate took place this week on the question of whether the demonstration against Rabbi Levinstein was legitimate: "There will be a response to any provocation, let's not create it and destroy everything we have achieved so far"

One of the claims of the activists who participated in this week's demonstration in Tel Aviv in front of the synagogue of the Jewish Head organization was that it was a spontaneous demonstration whose purpose was solely to act against Rabbi Yigal Levinstein's conversation, but correspondence obtained by Israel Hayom reveals that it was an organized and systematic move by activists, some apparently part of the secular forum, to oppose the activity of a "Jewish head" in the city.

Photographs from a secret WhatsApp group called "Open Jewish Mind" were obtained by Israel Hayom, indicating that this was a well-organized move aimed at acting against the religious organization's activities, and not necessarily against the conversation. Apparently, some of the members of this group were among those who were behind the opposition to holding separate prayers in Dizengoff on Yom Kippur.

A confrontation took place in the WhatsApp group after the demonstration against Rabbi Levinstein, during which demonstrators lashed out and shouted harsh slogans against the participants, and even chased the director of the Jewish Head organization Israel Zeira and Rabbi Levinstein, who were forced to leave with a police escort. Some of the activists who oppose the partition were not enthusiastic, to say the least, about the provocation of their friends.

"Prayer in space is not against the law. Harassing them and disturbing them won't help us. What is against the law is the partition," wrote one participant, to which another replied, "From the first moment I said that the response would be to the partition. Besides, down the road, these mass settler prayers in the heart of the city should also be flipped, but I agree that we are not there yet." In response to the claim that Jewish leaders are not brave enough to put up a partition on Dizengoff Street, the man replied, "They are brave and put f*** everywhere. That's what we haven't understood yet, probably because we're dealing with **** of what they'll say and we didn't understand the pitch at all."

Some of the participants argued that the demonstration against Rabbi Levinstein was counterproductive and harmed the protest against the partition. "Friends will respond to any provocation. Let's not create it and destroy everything we have achieved so far," wrote one participant, while another replied: "Anything we do even quietly will be considered a provocation. Excuse me, how did we achieve everything we achieved? Why isn't running after Rabbi Levinstein in Tel Aviv a provocation? Because that's exactly how you were portrayed in the media. Not only the right, but also in the mainstream. So that was a mistake? There's nothing you can do, when you want to fight fascists you have to know how to fight."
