Last weekend Border Police soldiers detained a suspect from Judea and Samaria and seized about 170 kg of agricultural produce in his home on suspicion of being stolen from central Israel.
An investigation being conducted by the Central Unit of the Southern Border Police into the theft of agricultural produce from Neveh Mivtach that took place earlier this month led to operational activity last Friday to a search of the home of a suspect in Beit Ula in the Hebron governorate of Judea and Samaria.

During the search, 12 sacks of almonds weighing a total of 168.65 kg suspected of being stolen produce were seized.
The suspect, a resident of Beit Ula without permits to stay in Israel, in his 30s, was detained for questioning at the Central Unit of the Border Police in the south and his detention was extended until 27 September 9 at the Ashkelon Magistrate's Court. The investigation is ongoing.
