Stabbing incident in Jerusalem today (Saturday). It is believed that the background to the incident is criminal.
The MDA team was called to a serious incident of violence that took place a short time ago in the Pisgat Ze'ev neighborhood. MDA spokesman Zaki Heller: "A report was received at MDA's 101 hotline in the Jerusalem area about two men injured in a violent incident on Shmuel Tamir Katznelson Street in Jerusalem. MDA medics and paramedics provide medical treatment and refer a man in his thirties to Hadassah Hospital on Mount Scopus in critical condition with penetrating injuries, and a 2-year-old man was examined and treated at the scene in light condition."
MDA paramedic Eldad Benstein and MDA medics Shmuel Orlov and Shimon Saltz said: "We were very close to the scene and immediately arrived at the scene, saw a man in his thirties lying unconscious on the pavement with penetrating injuries, we gave him life-saving treatment and put him in an intensive care unit and urgently evacuated him to hospital while treating him in critical condition. A 25-year-old man was walking at the scene and after medical examinations he did not need to be evacuated."
According to the police spokesperson, a very seriously injured man with a penetrating wound to his upper body was evacuated from the scene for medical treatment. Police forces at the scene began collecting details and findings, while searching for the suspect who fled. It appears that this is a criminal incident.
