Slovak police fined a car owner who put his dog in the driver's seat.
The bizarre incident took place in the village of Stroussi, northeast of the capital Bratislava. The vehicle was speeding and caught on speed cameras, but in the close-up, officers were shocked to discover the strange figure of the driver.

When he was arrested, the 31-year-old owner claimed that the dog simply jumped into the front seat and interfered with his driving, but police said there was no evidence of sudden movements in the traffic cameras.
The police fined the driver, but it's unclear whether he was speeding or not wearing the dog properly. "Even a small animal can endanger your life and integrity while driving," the police statement said.
A study published four years ago in the United States found that drivers who did not properly buckle their dogs in the vehicle were much more likely to lose concentration as a result of the animal's behavior. According to the study, risky behaviors jumped by 137%.
