Bus dropped off bridge in Spain/Reuters
At least 20 people were killed Tuesday in a bus crash from a bridge near the northern Italian city of Venice, Italian newspaper La Repubblica reported. According to the report, the bus veered off its lane and fell near train lines in the Mestre district that connects to Venice via a bridge - and the cause of the accident has not yet been ascertained.
Luigi Brozero, mayor of Venice, shared on his X account: "It's an apocalyptic scene. I'm speechless." Sky Italia reported that so far 18 bodies have been recovered from the rubble after the bus caught fire.
