Friday, October 6 returns to many Italian cities the Climate Strike of Fridays for FutureItalia, the local branch of GretaThunberg's organization.
"The first cause of the increase in temperatures, and consequently of extreme climatic phenomena, are fossil fuels, on which Italy continues to invest extensively," writes the organization. For FFF, with the Mattei plan "the government binds the country to fossils and condemns it to increasingly frequent and intense extreme events". Moreover, "it is emblematic that, with the current government, repressive measures have been tightened against those who today demonstrate peacefully and resist practicing civil disobedience".
Fridays For Future Italia "invites all associations, trade unions and movements to join and actively participate in the strike in every city".
