Video: Gottlieb will not withdraw my nomination for the Judicial Selection Committee/Roni Knafo
The Prime Minister's Office issued an unusual statement Tuesday evening following a tweet by MK Tali Gottlieb of the Likud party, in which she claimed that Mossad chief Dedi Barnea had met with the leader of the protest against the legal revolution established by Bressler. "Absolute fake news - the head of the Mossad did not meet with Shikma Bressler," the Mossad said in a statement issued by the Prime Minister's Office.

And by extension:
- Earlier this evening, Gottlieb tweeted: "I heard that Ms. Protest Shikma Bressler, the one who thought right-wing elected officials were Nazis, met in a personal meeting with the head of the Mossad. I also heard that someone rushed to issue a gag order on this. Well, I have substantive immunity and judicial orders don't apply to me. Anyone willing to give an explanation for this meeting? It is not naïve, otherwise it would not have been forbidden to be published."
- After the Prime Minister's Office's unusual denial, Gottlieb tweeted again: "I received the Prime Minister's Office's announcement that Shikma Bressler did not meet with the head of the Mossad. I update my readership that this is what the Prime Minister's Office said. My previous post was based on a reliable source, but when a denial has been issued, I bring it to you."

Reminder:
- Exactly a month ago, the Prime Minister's Office issued an exceptional condemnation of Gottlieb's remarks against the security establishment, against the background of its opposition to National Security Minister Itamar Ben-Gvir's plans to tighten the conditions of visits by security prisoners.
- Gottlieb said at the time: "The Shin Bet and the IDF work for the terrorists and security prisoners."
- Prime Minister Netanyahu disavowed the remarks, saying in response that it was "an outrageous statement by MK Gottlieb. The IDF, Shin Bet and other security forces work night and day to maintain Israel's security and harm terrorists."
