Scene of panic, this Tuesday in the middle of the day, in the center of Grigny. A man reportedly threatened passers-by with a knife not far from the station. He was arrested without causing any injuries.
It is about 13 p.m. on Tuesday, October 3, when onlookers report to the police the presence of a man armed with a knife, place Henri-Barbusse, in Grigny 2. The individual allegedly threatened several passers-by in the parking lot of the shopping center, where the former Casino supermarket was located. When the emergency police arrived, the individual was at the level of Rodin Square. He is shirtless. The weapon is still in his hand. Despite police orders, the man refuses to let go of his knife.
A suspect addicted to crack?
The officials then decided to use their taser. The suspect was not hit but dropped his weapon, before fleeing. It will be caught a few moments later, roundabout Pasteur. It would be a homeless man in his twenties.

The young man would not be known to the police. The first elements brought to our attention indicate that he was under the influence of narcotics. He would have asked for crack to the passers-by he met, place Henri-Barbusse. Toxicological analyses are awaited. In the meantime, the suspect was placed in custody in the premises of the Juvisy-sur-Orge police station for "threats with a weapon".
