Yesterday, dozens of reactors shut down due to cracks raised fears of giant power outages. Today, with the plants restarting, the risk of blackout is receding, and EDF is once again exporting electricity throughout Europe. Decarbonized, this energy allows us to be the major country on the continent that emits the least CO2. Controllable 24 hours a day, our plants are essential for the massive deployment of wind and photovoltaics, which have the defect of producing intermittently. Let us add that this abundant electricity contributes to our energy independence.
