Today (Monday), Corporal Netanel Young, a 20-year-old lone soldier from the United States, a soldier in the 13th Battalion of the Golani Brigade, was laid to rest on Mount Herzl. Netanel fell in battle with terrorists in the south. Many civilians responded to the call to come to the funeral and pay their last respects to the lone soldier.

When the date of the funeral became known, and following the family's request, the call was circulated to the citizens to come and accompany Netanel on his final journey. Many civilians, who did not even know Corporal Young, who immigrated to Israel from the United States and enlisted in the Golani Brigade, came to pay their last respects.
Corporal Young's grave plot is adjacent to the fresh grave of Col. Roy Yosef Levy, who was also killed in battle in the south and was brought to eternal rest today, a few hours ago.

Col. Jonathan Steinberg, the Nahal brigade commander, who was killed in battle, was also buried in the same plot, and Cpl. Dvir Lisha was buried nearby. Senior officers and soldiers, side by side, who paid with their lives and fell defending the State of Israel.
Sad and important request!
Anyone who can attend the funeral of a lone soldier from Tribute Alon. (At the request of the family, of course).
