Eleanor Josephine and Uri Minzer landed Sunday night from Thailand after each receiving Order 8. Eleanor and Uri insisted on getting married before going to the front and held their wedding in Shoham in the presence of their parents and a quorum of witnesses. The flash canopy was conducted by the city's rabbi and chairman of the Tzohar Rabbinical Organization, Rabbi David Stav, who conducted the entire process for them from marriage registration to the chuppah and finally gave them the blessing of the road before they left for the front.

Groom Uri Minzer: "I imagined this moment a thousand times, but I never imagined it like this. I hope we will make the correction and hold the event the way we want. I got to love my best friend, my past, my present and my future."
Rabbi David Stav, Chairman of the Tzohar Rabbinical Organization: "It's not every day that a couple gets married on the eve of going to war, and this wedding expresses the couple's faith in your relationship, expresses the burning love between you, this country and this people. We pray for you that the house you built will be the Adei Ad building. As limited as this wedding was, with G-d's help, when we return safely we will make great joy and your beginning will be sorrowful, and after that you will make a great mistake."
