War in Israel: Seemingly huge arsenal of weapons in the hands of terrorists – in June, Hamas even publicly displayed its military strength.

Tel Aviv – A total of 3,255 rockets have been fired into Israel by Palestinian militants from the Gaza Strip since Saturday morning, according to the Israeli military, an Israeli government spokesman said. At least 600 people were killed and more than 2000,<> others injured in Israel, the government's press office said.

War in Israel: Thousands of Hamas rockets probably come from Iran

The Islamist Hamas unexpectedly launched large-scale attacks against Israel from Gaza on Saturday. The Palestinian organization, which is classified as a terrorist organization by the EU, the US and Israel, fired the rockets at Israel. At the same time, on Saturday morning, armed Palestinians advanced into Israel by land, sea and air. The Gaza Strip is tightly shielded, so the size of the Palestinian arsenal is surprising. Iran is repeatedly mentioned as the supplier.

For example, Joachim Krause writes in the magazine Sirius that for the "revolutionary" leadership of Iran, Israel is the declared main enemy, because it strives to establish a new regional order without the US and Israel. "In pursuing this policy, the leadership in Tehran has exploited situations with considerable skill over the past 40 years. It was able to benefit from the disadvantaged situation of the Shiites in Lebanon and establish Hezbollah as a reliable partner there, which is an important political player in Lebanon and a military threat to Israel."

War against Israel: Terrorists form alliance

As euronews reports, the anti-Israel coalition is currently being formed: the Shiite organization Hezbollah in neighboring Lebanon has expressed its solidarity with Hamas. Hezbollah representatives are said to have said that the time for revenge had come. Euronews quotes senior Hezbollah official Hashim Safieddine: "Our hearts, souls, rockets and guns are with you, because we are the resistance that originally existed for the sake of Palestine and Al-Aqsa," he said on Sunday in a southern suburb of the Lebanese capital Beirut.

The Times of Israel reported in July that Hamas had publicly displayed its weapons in Gaza City for the first time: Hamas fighters, as well as members of Hamas' military wing, the Isadin al-Qassam Brigades, presented their weapons to the several hundred visitors. Among the weapons on display were, for example, locally made missiles, "Shihab" drones or rocket-propelled grenade projectiles, as well as the Russian-made "Kornet" missiles. Smuggling is carried out from abroad, for example via Egypt. Hamas is estimated to have 15,000 rockets.
