The perpetrator of the knife attack in a school in Arras is a terrorist of Caucasian origin. More than 150 jihadists from the North Caucasian community are believed to have joined the Islamic State.


The Arras knife attack is the third Islamist attack perpetrated since 2018 by a young terrorist from the North Caucasian community (predominantly Chechen and Ingush, two Muslim peoples united by history).
