The police had to break up a Jew-hating "demonstration" in Hamburg-Harburg on Monday evening. Participants in the unauthorized gathering attracted attention through anti-Semitic statements.
Hamburg – It began at 19:15 p.m., when numerous young people gathered on the Harburger Ring. Sporadic fireworks, including so-called Polish firecrackers, were set off, and chaos soon broke out. The Harburger Ring is known for chaos. On Halloween, there were already several escalations and riots against the police.
At the unannounced rally on Monday evening, construction site material was knocked over and even set on fire. The situation escalated, and around 20 p.m., the police arrived in large numbers to disperse the group, which had grown to about 50 to 80 young people. The police checked around 40 men between the ages of 13 and 21 with different nationalities and also issued expulsions. "The police also have videos in which young people appear to be making punishable statements in connection with the Middle East conflict," said Joscha Ahlers of the Hamburg police.
