Maya Buskila shared with her Instagram followers on Wednesday night a moving and hair-raising story about an encounter with the mother of Ben Shimoni, a young man who was murdered in the terrible massacre on Black Saturday after showing heroism and saving lives. Buskila said she came across Shimoni's picture quite a bit, mainly because he resembles her current partner, Shaul Shalevim.

"I had an incident yesterday that just won't let me go," Buskila wrote. "I received a lot of pictures of this hero, who saved a lot of people from the party and in the end, unfortunately, was murdered, claiming that he was very similar to asking my partner, and out of fear I immediately answered everyone 'to differentiate a thousand differences.'

"Yesterday I performed for the evacuees, and at the end of the performance, when everyone was dancing and falling apart, a crying and hurting mother came up to me and asked me, 'Can you dedicate a song to my murdered son?' I immediately started shaking, but I picked myself up and sang 'Mama's Hero' to her, while we were both crying on stage," she recalled.
"At the end of the song, she asked me, 'Want to see a picture of him?' Of course I said it was obvious and then she took out this picture! Of all the murdered. It was actually the picture I came across the most. Probably karma. I don't know, I was shocked and shaking. So I want to strengthen his family and tell everyone to remember that he was a hero. Three times he returned to the terrible scene in Nova in order to save as much as possible. May his memory be blessed."
