Michael Wendler is planning his stage comeback after various scandals – Schlager colleagues such as Ikke Hipgold, Jürgen Milski and Krümel doubt it. The musician now finds clear words for them.
Cape Coral – The planned music comeback of Michael Wendler (51) has already made quite a few headlines in recent months. A festival at which the singer was supposed to perform was cancelled by the organizer without further ado. The reason: Immense protest from other artists and Schlager fans on the net. Some colleagues therefore have doubts that Michael Wendler will make it back to the big stages – an absurdity, according to the American-by-choice.

Ikke Hipgold (47), Jürgen Milski (59) and Krümel (50) recently criticized Michael Wendler's planned tour. In the podcast "Die Wendlers", the musician and his wife Laura Müller (23) are now annoyed by this skepticism. "They attacked me personally. They are of the opinion that I will never enter a stage again and that I will be away from the window," the 51-year-old summarizes the statements of his colleagues in a nutshell. "That's when the first thing that came to my mind was: Why do they care about my career and not their own," he says, summing up his incomprehension.

Michael Wendler was particularly struck by the words of Ikke Hipgold. "In 2019, he wanted you and me exclusively as artists for his label, for his company, and even drew up a contract. And it didn't come to the signing. But he really wanted you, wanted to go on tour with you and, in my opinion, was completely in love with you," the pop star recalls together with Laura of the conversations with Ikke at the time.

Therefore, Michael Wendler is now enormously disappointed by the way Ikke Hipgold publicly comments about him. "What he's saying now is just despicable and you just don't do that. Especially since he could always turn to me personally or to you – and then we could talk to each other. But that's probably not intentional, you just have to hit it," the 51-year-old rumbles on.

Laura is also not indifferent to the public criticism of her husband. Above all, she is concerned about what scenarios will play out in the future should the couple meet one of their celebrity adversaries at an event. "How many celebrities really compliment you and then actually speak negatively in the press," the 23-year-old describes her discomfort. But the couple were not only outraged by colleagues from the world of pop music in their podcast: Laura Müller and Michael Wendler also made serious accusations against the "Goodbye Deutschland" production.
