Update from October 26, 22:46 p.m.: The U.S. military has deployed around 900 troops to the Middle East in light of the Gaza war. War in Israel: 250,000 people in Israel have left their homes
Update from October 26, 16:45 p.m.: Around a quarter of a million people in Israel have left their homes because of the Gaza war and the fighting on the Lebanese border. A spokeswoman for Israel's Defense Ministry said Thursday that 126,000 people had been housed in less vulnerable locations as part of an official evacuation program.
