Construction work continues at the accident hotspot of the intersection in Faistenhaar. For this purpose, the intersection area must be completely closed from 3 November.

Brunnthal – Since the beginning of September, the Freising State Building Authority has been reconstructing the intersection of the St2070 and St2367 state roads with the M9 district road in Faistenhaar, which is known as an accident hotspot, in several construction phases. For the next step, the intersection will now have to be completely closed from Friday, November 3 to Saturday, November 11.

Diversion and replacement bus stops

Traffic will be diverted from the south via the M8 district road in the direction of Großhelfendorf, from there via the St2078 to Höhenkirchen-Siegertsbrunn and then via the M10 district road to Brunnthal, further on the M27 district road to Hofolding. Traffic on the St2070 will be diverted via the M27 district road towards Brunnthal, from there via the M10 district road towards St2078 and then via the St2078 in both directions. The MVV has set up two replacement bus stops in Fichtestraße and Faistenhaarer Straße (for each direction).

More security

After completion of the asphalt work, a traffic light system will be installed in the intersection area and the traffic islands will be converted into left-turn lanes. This is intended to significantly increase safety at this neuralgic junction for all road users. Tactile elements will also be installed for people with limited mobility. Furthermore, the drainage of the M27 district road will be optimised. The construction work is expected to be completed by the end of November. The total cost of the construction project is around 1.2 million euros.
