The comedian behaves like a true fashion influencer on Instagram. But what's the deal with the "Kurthose"?

Comedian Kurt Krömer seems to have jumped on the new autumn trend of the year. On October 25, 2023, he posted a picture on Instagram showing him in dark gray corduroy pants. "Cord Crömer has left the building" (German: Cord Crömer has left the building) writes the 48-year-old.

Kurt Krömer wears corduroy trousers in the dad look of the 70s

Corduroy is back in fashion: Several fashion magazines are proclaiming trousers made of the soft fabric to be the new it-piece for the coming cold months. InStyle even goes so far as to call corduroy trousers "jeans' strongest style competition" this winter. The good thing about corduroy trousers is that they are not only nice and warm, but also usually comfortable.

In winter 2023, corduroy trousers will come in muted colours such as grey (like Krömer's corduroy trousers), black or navy. Bordeaux, curry or hazelnut brown are good choices for autumn, according to InStyle. Cream is a modern option, especially when combined with shades from the same color family (white, beige, taupe).

So the dad look of the 70s is back and Krömer, who blasphemes about Instagram with Bjarne Mädel in the 49th podcast episode, wears it with self-confidence. His fans are reacting enthusiastically to his Instagram post (see below).

The corduroy trousers are an "absolute curt trousers"

"Corduroy pants are just awesome," one person wrote. His wordplay prompts others to do the same: "Why corduroy on grey and not corduroy on bleu?" asks another fan. Another user applauds him with emojis: "Absolute Kurthose," she writes.

"You can wear anything," enthuses a third. The fans of Krömer, who also describes himself as a neo-clown, celebrate the look of the "styler" with the corduroy trousers, the grey suitcase and the Nike shoes as casual – and even "sexy". They post hearts and flames. "Uhhh hot," comments another person who finds Kurt Krömer hot – "inside and out".
