Highlights: Hannah Hadad, a resident of Netivot, gave birth to a son on Friday. She and her husband were evacuated from their home in the southern part of the city. The baby's name is Ofri, which means 'the son' in Yiddish. The boy was circumcised by police officers at the request of his mother, who is also a resident in Netivot. The event was attended by family and friends of the family, as well as the family of the boy.

Hannah Hadad, a resident of Netivot, was evacuated with her family to a hotel in Jerusalem after the outbreak of the war • Police officers who arrived at the scene asked her how she would hold the event, and when she said she did not know – they held a celebration for her that she and her family will not forget

On Monday, David District Police Commander in the Jerusalem District, Chief Superintendent Avi Cohen, met with some of the families evacuated from southern Israel who arrived at the Sephardic House Hotel. During the meeting, Cohen met Hannah Hadad, a resident of Netivot who had given birth two days earlier to a son, who had arrived there with her children, while her husband remained to guard their home in Netivot.

When asked how she was preparing for the alliance event, Haddad said she did not know how she would circumcise her son. Without thinking twice, the officers stepped up to the task: at the request of the policemen, the hotel's general manager organized refreshments, and the policemen themselves made sure that circumcision took place in the compound of the four Sephardic synagogues in the city's Jewish Quarter.

In the presence of family members, friends, district policemen, its commander Major General Doron Turgeman and Commander Cohen himself, the moving event took place today (Friday). The baby's chosen name, by the way, is Ofri.
