The IDF released the names of four other soldiers who fell in Gaza on Friday morning. One of them is Sergeant Major (res.) Uriah Mesh, 41, from Neria, a soldier in the 52nd Armored Battalion of the 401st Brigade. Mesh is survived by his wife and six children, the youngest of whom is only one year old. He was exempt from reserve duty, but volunteered to enlist in the war with the support of his family.

Prime Minister of the Mateh Binyamin Council Israel Gantz said: "We have lost a dear family father. His funeral will be held this morning in Jerusalem. This is the third casualty in the settlement of Neriah since the beginning of the war, after the soldiers Neriah Aharon Negari and Boaz Yogev z"l were killed in battle on Simchat Torah.
