Omri Almog, whose home was abducted from four members of his family from the village of Gaza, said ahead of the run: "I think about my sister Chen, who became a widow, a bereaved mother and is kidnapped with three children, inside this strip, I try to convey strength to her, but this story is beyond imagination. I don't know what she knows, I know she's a lioness."

Yarden Har-Lev, Head of Education at the Olympic Committee: "We are horrified by the magnitude of the tragedy that has befallen many families whose loved ones are held captive in Gaza.
