The actor father stands with Israel – and criticizes his star daughter's remarks:John Voight addressed for the first time Saturday evening the remarks made by Angelina Jolie, who spoke out against Israel's bombing of the Gaza Strip.
In a video posted to Account X, he said: "Very disappointed that my daughter, like many others, has no understanding of God's glory. The issue here is the destruction of the history of God's land, the Holy Land, the land of the Jews."
White, 84, has long been a supporter of Israel and defended Israel's action against Hamas in the early days of the war.
His daughter Angelina Jolie presented the opposite view of Israel's action.

Along with the "anger and anxiety" she claimed following the October 7 massacre, the actress claimed that "it cannot justify the loss of countless innocent souls in the shelling of a civilian population in Gaza, a population that has nowhere to run, has nowhere to run, has no access to food and water, cannot evacuate, and does not even have the basic human right to cross a border to seek asylum." Later in the post, she demanded a ceasefire "for the refugees."
