While the IDF was opening a humanitarian route for the movement of Gaza residents southward, terrorists from the Hamas terrorist organization attacked the forces engaged in opening it. This is according to documentation published today (Saturday) by the IDF Spokesperson.

The IDF Spokesperson's Arabic spokesman announced earlier today that between 13:00 and 16:00 the Saleh al-Din route in the Gaza Strip will be used for humanitarian passage for residents of the northern Gaza Strip who have not yet moved south to maintain their security.

The Hamas terrorist organization took advantage of the window of humanitarian opportunity granted by the IDF to the residents of the Gaza Strip, and its terrorists attacked IDF forces that reached the route with mortar fire and anti-tank missiles and were engaged in opening it, in order to prevent it from being opened to the movement of Gaza residents. There were no casualties to our forces in this incident.
