"I haven't seen the film, but I heard it firsthand," referring to a film prepared by the IDF Spokesperson with the documentation from Black Saturday that was screened to Knesset members. "If it happened it's shameful, I can't expect, but members of my party do. Even without saying that raping women and slaughtering babies is difficult."

"What happened, for me, is inhumane and it goes against the values of Islam," she continued. "Even in conditions of war, but you can't ignore everything that happened before and after, but it doesn't justify it."

Justice Minister Yariv Levin responded: "I was shocked by MK Iman Khatib Yassin's grave remarks, which constitute a denial of the terrible massacre carried out by Hamas terrorists on October 7. A few days ago, even before MK Khatib Yassin's remarks, I instructed the professionals in the Justice Ministry to formulate a bill that would prohibit denial of the massacre and set strict punishment for those who do so."
