Former British and Australian prime ministers Boris Johnson and Scott Morrison have arrived in Israel and will visit southern settlements. The tour was initiated by MK Danny Danon, former Israeli ambassador to the UN.

Morrison and Johnson arrived on a one-day visit in solidarity with Israel, during which they will visit the soldier's home in Jerusalem, where they will meet with soldiers with British and Australian citizenship who serve in the IDF and take part in the war efforts, as well as bereaved families who lost loved ones in the Hamas terror attack.
The two will then meet with Israeli President Isaac Herzog at the president's residence in Jerusalem, and from there will continue on a tour of Bari and the city of Ashkelon. In addition, the two are expected to meet with civilian volunteers at the Eran Civic Solidarity Center, where efforts are coordinated to support the needs of the residents of the south.

"I am grateful that MK Danny Danon invited us to come here today," said former British Prime Minister Boris Johnson. "I believe it is important and vital that we who believe in Israel's right to defend itself do everything in our power at this time to show our support in the face of cruel and inhuman attacks against innocent people, and to emphasize that in the face of an atrocity of this magnitude, the government has no choice but to defend the people of Israel."
Former Australian Prime Minister Scott Morrison said: "I am grateful for the opportunity to join former Prime Minister Johnson to come to Israel and show solidarity with the people and the State of Israel and the Jewish community around the world. This is an opportunity to understand firsthand what is happening on the ground, to honor those who have been lost, to show support to those who have suffered and are now engaged in this terrible conflict, and to discuss how to move forward."

According to Danon, "The atrocities committed by operatives of the Nazi organization Hamas must be recognized throughout the world. This visit strengthens Israel's international legitimacy in its war against Hamas. The visit also attests to their genuine support for Israel. Today you have proven that you are true friends of the State of Israel and the Jewish people."
