Following the end of the hostage-taking at Hamburg Airport, the airport is preparing to resume flight operations. "Preparations for the resumption of flight operations are in full swing. The access roads and terminals are open again," the airport announced early Sunday evening on Platform X (formerly Twitter). However, there are still cancellations and delays in flight operations.
Hamburg - Passengers should check their flight status and contact the airline if necessary.
The armed man, who had raced into the apron of the airport with his car and his four-year-old child on Saturday evening, was arrested after more than 18 hours. The airport had temporarily suspended flight operations during the hostage-taking. Dpa
