Marco Schreyl has published his autobiography. The book is mainly about his family, but surprisingly also about the TV presenter's love life.
Cologne – Marco Schreyl (49) has been a well-known face on German television for decades. However, the RTL presenter had always kept his private life pretty well under wraps. In his memoirs "All Good? Most of it is!", but now he makes an exception. In it, he talks for the first time about his love life and thus also about his partner.
Marco Schreyl wants to talk openly about his love life: "Because it's part of me"
As the presenter revealed in an interview with "Gala", he never understood why "private life is more important at this point" than his job, "which is public and what it's all about." In his new book, however, the long-time RTL employee now wants to talk about the sewing box.
As the "Gala" further reports, Marco Schreyl's autobiography is primarily about the Huntington's disease of his mother Petra, who has died in the meantime. But his love life should also finally receive attention. "Because it's part of me and because there have been so many questions about it for so long. For me, it was important not to be asked these questions anymore," emphasizes the TV star in an interview with the magazine. Schreyl had found the love of his life in his partner. "It's meant to be taken for granted that there's one person in my life who means everything to me," he noted.
In his memoirs, Marco Schreyl also talks about his coming out
And since Marco Schreyl focuses on his family in his book, one story is of course not neglected: his coming-out. Schreyl talks about the chapter in the "Gala" interview: "Telling my parents how I love and who I love was a big, important step for me. In retrospect, the fact that it worked in such a relaxed way gave me the courage and showed me that it's okay to talk about it."
