The recall is specifically for 29-ounce plastic bags of the product officially named 'Fully Cooked Fun Nuggets Breaded Shaped Chicken Patties,' FSIS said in a statement.
Approximately 29,819 pounds of Fun Nuggets are affected, the document said.
The contaminated nuggets were prepared Sept. 5 and shipped through distributors in Alabama, California, Illinois, Kentucky, Michigan, Ohio, Tennessee, Virginia and Wisconsin, officials said.
There was a "minor oral injury," FSIS said, although there are no other reports of injuries or illnesses reported as a result of eating these products.
FSIS urges anyone who may have a bag of Fun Nuggets in the freezer to throw it away and avoid eating it. In addition, he also explained that the bags of the product can also be returned to the establishment where they were purchased.
