Ross Ida Lubin, a resident of Sa'ad, is a Border Police soldier killed in a stabbing attack carried out Monday morning near the Flower Gate in the Old City of Jerusalem. Another soldier was wounded in the attack and is in critical condition. The two were evacuated to Hadassah Mount Scopus Hospital in the city.
The terrorist, a 16-year-old from 'Issawiya, was killed by other Border Police soldiers at the scene. The police arrested another man nearby on suspicion of involvement in the attack, and are also investigating whether the female fighter was hit by gunfire from the force that killed the terrorist.

Lubin is a lone fighter who immigrated to Israel alone in August 2021 from the United States in order to enlist in combat service in the Border Police. She enlisted for compulsory service in the Border Police in March 2022 and upon completion of basic training for female fighters, was assigned to the Old City Battalion in the Jerusalem Border Police.

Her comrades in the Border Police tell of a brave, professional, principled, friendly, smiling and kind fighter who wanted to help anyone, was the first to join every mission for the defense of the country.
