When it comes to communication, it's a failure. After announcing the upcoming deployment of a field hospital in Egypt near Gaza to provide humanitarian aid to Palestinians in the enclave, collateral victims of Israel's response to the Hamas attack on October 7, Armed Forces Minister Sébastien Lecornu moved faster than diplomacy. Before it can set up a support structure, Paris will have to obtain Egypt's agreement. However, Cairo has so far shown no intention of allowing the humanitarian crisis to spread to its territory.
