An iron saber war caused flight cancellations for most foreign airlines. Many Israelis have booked vacations for the near future, and according to the law, if the airline cancels, even if the reason is war, it is obligated to return the money to the passenger, since the flight did not take place.
Quite a few Israelis order from small sites abroad, those that at the moment of truth disappear according to them and do not provide a service that allows you to get the money back smoothly and conveniently. Many Israelis search for flights on various international search engines and sometimes find cheap flights from smaller and lesser-known sites abroad, which can be tempting at first, but during such exceptional times, can also sometimes cost dearly.

Customer service on some of these sites may be slow and sometimes completely unanswered, especially at a time when many Israelis who booked from them turn to and ask for a refund for the canceled flight. In conversations with Israelis who ordered from such sites, they say, "No one answers, we sent emails, we tried to call, nothing, are afraid that the money has gone, we made a mistake, we really hope that the airline will just refund them the money and they will refund us automatically, we don't have the strength to deal with that too now that our country is fighting."
It is important to note that we have also received quite a few complaints about Israeli companies that do not respond to inquiries from customers asking for refunds for canceled flights and those who try to talk to customer service in order to reach arrangements regarding their flights. In Israel, many customer service centers are dealing with a shortage of manpower, since many of the employees are currently in reserve duty or on unpaid leave, and at the same time, there is a very significant increase in calls and therefore very long response times.

In a conversation with the CEO of one of the tourism companies in Israel, he says: "We have thousands of emails, we answer only those who succeed and prioritize those whose flight is supposed to depart in the coming days. Most of our employees are in reserve duty and the number of referrals is huge, we are doing everything we can to meet this, but this is not an easy task. I have no doubt that in the end everyone will get the money they deserve if they ordered from us, it can just take some time because of the situation."
It is important to emphasize that ordering from overseas sites is not completely wrong, but it is important to first check that the site has high reliability, available customer service and positive reviews, and only after understanding that this is a company that will provide you with proper service if necessary, to make the decision whether to order from them or not.
